Cowles Mountain Trail

Before taking a hike here, be sure to research trails like Big Rock, Mesa, Barker Way, and the service road. It can range from 24 to 48 miles depending on where you start, so prepare yourself for whatever length or difficulty hike you are undertaking.

Fortuna Mountain Trail

Grasslands and Oak Canyon are just two of the accessible points for North Fortuna Mountain Trail. Grasslands and Oak Canyon are also short options, as are Oak Canyon and Fortuna Saddle.

North and South Fortuna and Kwaay Paay Peak Trail, a 1049-mile loop hike, is an excellent option if you are looking for a long hiking trip.

Kwaay Paay

This 24-mile hike offers some of the best views of San Diego from the top of Kwaay Paay and gets your heart pumping. We encourage you to go down when it is still light out, as the path down is rocky and conditions should be good for seeing.
